You left me a message on www.svarnabhumi.blogspot.com about origins of Malay, I am sure by now you read many readings on Malays by colonial writer - Clifford, Swetenham, Wavell, Sweeney, Sheppard etc and you know that that's no one Malay, but many with many origins, you may want to look at Malay from various older kingdoms Johor Riau, Melaka, Kelantan-Pattani, Kedah-Lembah Bujang, Perak Gangga Sri Nagara etc, which part of peninsula has older civilsation. You also may want to look at different point in history and what happened in that period interms of trade, marriage, massacre with regards to migration and population.
